Beloved,
In Mark 10:51 Jesus asked the blind beggar Bartimaeus who had come to Him what he wanted! Was it not obvious? What do you want? My autograph? A pat on the back? A hug?
Why? To help him put his faith on the line. To draw his Faith out without which Jesus couldn’t do much for him.
Where is your faith? Is it drawn out and on the job or buried in your heart? Faith in the heart does no more good than money in the bank. Like money, Faith has to be drawn out and put to use.
How? By acting it out or by speaking it! No wonder, Jesus told him “thy faith has made thee whole.” His faith was the critical factor in his healing.
Actually, it remains belief only, and not faith, when there is no action to it! Many believe in Jesus, but are on their way to hell because they have not put their belief into action and asked Him to be their Savior.
The devils also believe (James 2:19), but it does them no good, because they do not have faith. They won’t put belief into action.
You have heard the expression “talk is cheap, show me the money.“ Well, belief is the talk. Faith is the money!
Don’t be like the devils, put your belief into action.
