Beloved,
1 Peter 2:11 says that fleshly lusts war against your soul. This temptation war comes in the form of the devil bombarding your mind with:
“Just imagine how good it will taste, make you feel etc or remember…”
If you succumb to the temptation there will be another war afterwards, that of condemnation: “God can’t do such and such for you after what you’ve done or not done etc.” Never mind that God loved you while you were a sinner!
The devil’s plan is to rob you of your faith!
The main reason to live right is to keep condemnation at bay so that your faith/confidence in God stays strong so that you can receive all your desires met, which in turn pleases God!
God is not pleased that you are “holy holy” for the sake of being “holy, holy,” but for what it does for you, that is, helps you to receive the benefits that Jesus paid an awesome price for you to have! It is time for rededication, what do you say?
