Beloved,
There is a lesson in the Christmas story about a subject matter that robs the devil really wrongly, the idea that worshipers of Jesus should be rich… just like they should be loving, kind, patient, etc.
The magi were well-off. They could not otherwise have afforded the long journey they took, much less have gifts for Jesus and His family that bankrolled their trip to Egypt and back, including the expenses of their stay in Egypt.
The magi funded that part of the gospel. Are you doing your part to fund the gospel? Are you a tither? Or do you give God only your leftover pocket change?
Let’s all be imitators of the Magi, what do you say?
Acts 17:10-12; Exodus 8:22.
I love you!
Pastor Shina
