Beloved,
1 Kings 1:5-6 is a word of encouragement to all parents because it lets us know that David was not necessarily a great father:
“Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so?”
However, David was a man after God’s own heart according to Acts:13:22! So are you, Mom and Dad, even with your imperfections! So, believe that you have God’s help every day to be and do better for God and to go further with God as a parent. His grace is sufficient!
