Beloved,
If I were to ask you about how much time you are spending one on one with the Lord, the honest answer would be “not nearly enough.” Hence the Lord impressed on me to remind us all to spend more time in His presence daily!
One hour a day should be the minimum… (Mark 14:37) Cut out some TV and social media time and you will have plenty of time to do so.
Here is a suggested structure:
15 minutes for praise and worship. Make sure it is Word based.
“I owe it all to Jesus“ is NOT Word based. Jesus did not loan you His blood, He shed it for you! God does not make loans, He gives gifts!
15 minutes Bible reading.
15 minutes to listen to Bible teaching…not so much preaching (declaring) but teaching (explaining).
15 minutes praying, especially in tongues (best way Romans 8:26-27) and declarations of Faith
You can be flexible: all four may be accomplished on the go, when necessary but only when necessary!
Some days you will spend the entire hour on one of the four activities.
