Beloved,
Mk 4:41 says “…What manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey Him?
You remember the story. Jesus enters the boat and tells His disciples to go to the other side of the lake and He proceeds to take a siesta.
Then all hell breaks loose with a furious storm engineered by the devil to kill Jesus by drowning Him. I guess the fool forgot that Jesus walks on water! Jesus is oblivious of the palaver! He is a man of faith. He is asleep.
But here comes the disciples to wake him up and accuse him of not caring about them! Imagine that!
Jesus rebuked the wind, “Hush up!” He says and the great storm becomes a great calm and they said, “what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
Did you know, beloved, that in the name of Jesus, you are that manner of man or woman? If you will dare look the storms in your life in the face and command them to hush up in the name of Jesus, you will have no less a calm than Jesus had that day! Jesus has given you that privilege. Use it!
