Beloved,
There are a number of lessons in the Christmas story. We touched on one last week, namely that with God nothing is impossible such as a virgin conceiving seed.
Another lesson has to do with obeying God, rather than man. Joseph and Mary obeyed the edict to go pay their taxes, and be counted in the census. That was a legitimate exercise of government power. The magi, however, did not obey King Herod but obeyed God In not going back to Jerusalem.
If Government or your parents, children, spouse, employer, or boss tells you to do something different that God says, the choice is clear: you must obey God.
Be a BEREAN everyday and live in GOSHEN everyday!
