Beloved,
Did you know that as a believer God never meant for anybody to pray FOR you? Only WITH you, because Jesus is your only intermediary!
You should always bring your Faith to the table every time we talk about prayer, especially if you are the expected beneficiary. Otherwise prayer becomes an empty religious exercise in futility, because it is only designed to salve our conscience! We feel like we’ve at least done something about the situation when in reality we have done almost nothing! Prayer is a purposeful activity. It is not what we do when all else fails. It is what we do so nothing fails!
“Bring your Faith to the table” means every time you pray, you must always answer this question: what scripture promises me the answer to this prayer? If you don’t know, find out. Don’t pray until you know!
The scripture is your source of faith and without faith, prayer does not work. Prayer does not make Faith work, faith makes prayer work. James 5:15.
We are not to “hope and pray” but to “faith” and then pray!
