Beloved,
In the last couple of posts we said that though the devil is a thief (John 10:10) we have to leave the front door unlocked or open for him to come in and steal. We said one way we do that is doubting God’s Word. Another is when we just don’t know or lack knowledge of God‘s word. Today we will talk about unbelief.
Unbelief plainly refuses to believe God‘s word. It would rather hold on to the traditions of Men which make the Word of God void. Grandma taught it so we bought it! Mark 7:13
Unbelief says “we don’t believe it that way. I can’t accept that. Healing passed away. Our pastor said so! You can’t take that literally. That’s not what that means. It’s too late anyway.”
Unbelief is a refusal to receive God’s word, for reasons, including the fact that we would have to change our ways. We don’t want to change, so we just won’t believe. And the devil says “great!“ So, we do without. I refuse to do without. I suggest you do the same.
