Beloved,
It is sad that some Christians accuse people like me of preaching “the prosperity gospel” as if there is another kind! All of the gospel is about prosperity: spirit, soul, body, family, and finances! No believer criticizes any of that except when it comes to finances!
Actually, no sane person objects to being rich. What folks object to is God’s prescription for receiving His riches, such as being a tither! Well, God will not change His methods because they are best.
But, there is an obligation, you read that right, an obligation to be rich for a believer. God wants to use us to be a blessing…why would you not be interested in that?
Also, if you are rich (God is!), people rightly expect your children to reflect that. It is a bad reflection of you otherwise!
So, as a believer you must embrace the so-called “prosperity gospel” in order to make the Father look good and attractive to people to whom that’s all that matters…until they know better!
That is the true prosperity gospel and we are all called to preach it! So, let’s get with the program.
