Beloved,
The devil is a thief alright, but we have to leave the front door unlooked or open for him to come in and steal. One way we leave the front door open is through doubt. Mark 11:23.
What does Doubt say when Doubt hears the word of God? Doubt says, “Really? I wish…However, if that were so… I don’t know about that! Yeah, but… Maybe. I am not there all the way yet. I’ll have to think about that. It could be. That’s a possibility.”
Doubt wants to believe but is being stopped from doing so. Doubt would like some clarifications. Doubt has some questions. That’s great, except that Doubt doesn’t really try to find out or get the questions answered and so Doubt does without.
Don’t be like that, beloved. It cost Jesus too much to provide the abundant life for you. Go ahead and find out. Get your questions answered and receive your inheritance and be independent of the circumstances!
