Beloved,
Do you know God for yourself? He is concerned that some of His children will walk away from Him because a couple of His generals fell in battle in the last few days.
Know God like Mary. Mary knew Jesus’ voice when He called her by name although she didn’t recognize Him physically! John 20:14-16.
Know God like the believers of Isaiah 63:16. “Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not, thou, O Lord, art our Father, our Redeemer, thy name is from everlasting!”
Surely we can all do at least as good as the ox of Isaiah 1:3. “The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.”
How do you know God so well that you are shocked, but not shaken, if well-known men of God fall?
Be a Berean. Acts 17:10-12. Be like Mary: Her sister wanted to be a good host. She preferred to be a good student of the Word. Luke 10:38-42.
The days are evil. The devil is working overtime to separate sheep from not only their under-shepherd but from the chief Shepherd Himself. Don’t be a casualty.
