Beloved,
Have you ever pondered what it means to love someone? 1 Corinthians 13 is quite expansive about the subject but here’s one aspect of it.
It is not just based on what you do or don’t do. It is not just based on what you say or don’t say. It is hugely based on whether you have ill will in your heart toward them, even if you never act on it, because it is the ill will that eventually leads to the ugly act or word! Romans 13:10
Also, it is not enough for you, yourself, not to have ill will towards them, you must also not wish any ill will on them.
So, if you yourself will not say anything bad about them or do anything bad to them but are OK if somebody else does, that is still not love, not the love of God. Not Agape.
Note that ill will is personal. So, wanting your football team to win the ball game and not their opponent is not ill will.
Let’s all come up another notch in our love walk, what do you say?
Be a BEREAN today and live in GOSHEN!
Acts 17:10-12; Exodus 8:22.
I love you!
