Beloved,
What does it mean to pray? Have you ever really considered the question? Too often we bury ourselves in Christian clichés and christianese!
To pray is to “see” the situation the way God sees it and then say words about the situation that God has said about it!
For example, against poverty God has said Psalm 23:1!
“I am praying about it,” should mean I am endeavoring to see as God sees the situation so that I can talk about it as He has!
God is not impressed when we tell him how big the mountain is. He is bigger! God is not impressed when we tell him how long the problem has persisted. He lives in eternity! God IS impressed when we imitate Him and say about the situation what He has said about it. He nods His head, beats His chest and says, “that’s my girl,“ or “that’s my boy!”
That is the place of Victory!
